MINISTRIES
Easter Devotion 29
When Jesus was crucified and buried, some of His followers were confused. They thought, perhaps, they had missed something or misunderstood. This wasn’t the combination of events they were expecting.
Imagine the relief the two men on the road to Emmaus felt when Jesus reached out to them. His explanation started all the way back at the beginning to guide them through all that had happened. He didn’t leave them on their own. He didn’t make them fend for themselves and figure it out by trial and error. He gave them the guide.
We can attempt to navigate this life without utilizing the guide given to us. We can pop a jelly bean in our mouth and risk it being a chili mango one or accidently combine popcorn and licorice (yuck!). Or, before taking a single step, we can turn to Scripture. We can ask the Lord to reveal Himself. Let’s seek guidance from God’s Word, and surround ourselves with those who do too.
